Gratitude
So what does a gratitude practice actually look like? It doesn’t have to be complicated. It can happen anytime, anywhere. For me, it’s small moments throughout the day. When I wake up, I run through a quiet list of things I’m grateful for as I get out of bed. I step outside, let the sun hit my face, take a deep breath, and welcome the day with a sense of appreciation. I come back to it at a stoplight, when I walk through my front door, and again when I get into bed at night.
Don’t be afraid to begin.
Don’t be afraid to begin. It’s very common to hear women say they don’t know where to start with their fitness journey. Many feel intimidated by the gym—and that alone keeps them from going. Or they go, but skip the weight room and head straight for the cardio machines.
What I want to share:
A personal story of navigating perimenopause symptoms, including hot flashes and weight gain, and how strength training and targeted supplements helped restore balance, energy, and well-being.
Supplements you should know about:
Let me start by saying what you’ve probably heard a thousand times: everyone is different, and what works for me may not work for you. I’m not a medical doctor, and I’m not recommending that you take any of these—this is simply what I’m currently using and exploring.
What keeps you in alignment?
When I was in my mid-40s, I was struggling on many levels.
I was a stay-at-home mom with two kids, in a marriage that was surviving but not thriving. Somewhere along the way, I had lost my sense of self—who I was, what I wanted, what I enjoyed, and what value I had in the world beyond being a mother.
Redefine what self-care really means to you.
I encourage you to ask yourself, ‘What clicks with me, and how can I implement more of that?’ Research the supplements, stretches, and nutritional plans that hit deeper than that same old routine. This is your chance to get to the bottom of what actually supports your system — and what totally doesn’t.
